Educational Qualification Requirements

A. Senior Manager (Level 9)

Master’s degree (first class) from a recognized institution in Management, Commerce, Public Administration or Humanities with Economics as the major subject, plus a minimum of 8 years’ experience at officer level in a bank or financial institution.

B. Manager (Level 8)

Same academic requirement as above, with a minimum of 6 years’ officer-level experience in a bank or financial institution.

C. Deputy Manager (Level 7)

Same academic requirement as above, with a minimum of 5 years’ officer-level experience in a bank or financial institution.

D. Assistant Manager – Cash (Level 6)

Master’s degree from a recognized institution in Management, Commerce, Public Administration or Humanities with Economics as the major subject.

E. Assistant Manager – Law (Level 6)

Master’s degree in Law from a recognized institution.

F. Assistant Manager – Information Technology (Level 6)

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communication or Information Technology from a recognized institution.

G. Assistant Manager – Accounts (Level 6)

Chartered Accountancy qualification from a recognized institution.

H. Assistant Manager – Agriculture (Level 6)

Master’s degree in Agriculture Science from a recognized institution.

I. Assistant Manager – Engineer (Level 6)

Bachelor’s/Master’s level qualification in Civil Engineering, having passed the Engineering Council examination, from a recognized institution.

J. Senior Assistant – Cash (Level 5)

Basis Of Application For Inclusive Category (Special Notice)

Candidates applying under an inclusive quota must attach the relevant supporting certificate along with their online application.

  • Adivasi/Janajati: Certificate from the local government body / National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities, verified by the concerned District Administration Office where the sub-group is not separately listed.
  • Madhesi: Certificate issued as per the Nepal Gazette notification or recommended by the local government and verified by the District Administration Office.
  • Dalit: Certificate based on the National Dalit Commission’s list, verified by the local government and District Administration Office where required.
  • Persons With Disabilities: Disability identity card recommended by a registered physician and certified by the Social Welfare Council.
  • Remote/Backward Area: Citizenship certificate from Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugu or Humla district, along with proof of permanent residence in that district.

  • Applicants applying for more than one advertisement must pay a separate fee for each advertisement.

The recruitment process consists of an Open and Inclusive Competitive Written Examination, conducted by the Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Aayog).

  • Level 6 (Assistant Manager, Assistant Manager – Cash) and Level 5 (Senior Assistant, Senior Assistant – Law, Senior Assistant – Cash) – Written Examination held at the Public Service Commission’s provincial location for the respective province.
  • All Other Posts (For Level 7, 8 And 9): Written Examination held at the Public Service Commission’s Central Office, Kathmandu.

Work Experience Requirement (Level 7 And Above)

  • Senior Manager (Level 9): Minimum 8 years’ officer-level experience in a bank or financial institution.
  • Manager (Level 8): Minimum 6 years’ officer-level experience in a bank or financial institution.
  • Deputy Manager (Level 7): Minimum 5 years’ officer-level experience in a bank or financial institution.
