Minimum Eligibility Requirements
To apply for Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Lower Secondary Third Grade Vacancy, you must meet ALL of the following conditions.
Citizenship
- Must be a Nepali Citizen (Nepali Nagarik).
No Disqualification Under TSC Rules
- Must not be disqualified under Teachers Service Commission Regulations (TSC Niyamawali) 2079, Rule 10.
Educational Qualification – Minimum Academic
- Must have passed the Secondary Education Examination (Class 12 / SLC equivalent) or equivalent from a recognized institution in the relevant subject.
- Must have completed at least 10 months of teacher training in the teaching subject after passing Class 12.
- If an applicant has passed Class 12 education exam from the Education Faculty or School of Education – that counts as meeting the training condition.
Social Studies Subject
- It includes Economics, History, Rural Development, Geography, Civics, Political Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Population Education, Health Education, Physical Education, Culture, Social Science, Anthropology – any of these fields qualifies.
Math-Science Subject
- Must have passed both Math and Science with at least 200 marks (or 8 Credit Hours equivalent each) at Class 12 level – both subjects must be cleared, not just one.
Teaching License
- Must hold a valid Permanent Teaching License (Sthayi Adhyapan Anumatipatra) issued by TSC for Lower Secondary level.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years completed by the application deadline date.
- Maximum Age: 40 years not exceeded as of the application deadline date.
- Note: Permanent In-Service Teachers (Bahalwala Sthayi Shikshak) are exempt from the upper age limit.

Required Documents Checklist
Upload all in JPEG/JPG format, max 200 KB per image.
- Nepali Citizenship Certificate (both sides if required).
- Recent passport-size photograph.
- Signature sample.
- Academic transcript – Class 11 & 12 (with subject code and grade/marks clearly visible).
- Teacher Training certificate (10 months minimum).
- Permanent Teaching License (Sthayi Adhyapan Anumatipatra).
- Equivalence certificate (for foreign institution qualifications only).

Additional Documents For Inclusive Groups (Samaveshi Ummedwarharu Ko Lagi Thap Kagajat)
Candidates applying under reserved/inclusive categories must submit the following group-specific certificates.
Adivasi / Janajati
- Certificate from Nepal Adivasi Janajati Utthan Rashtriya Pratisthan (pursuant to the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, 2058) confirming your caste is listed – certified up to District Officer level.
Tarai – Madheshi
- Government of Nepal Rajpatra (Gazette) confirming your Tarai-Madheshi Community, plus local government head recommendation and District Officer certification.
Dalit
- Certificate from National Dalit Commission listing your caste, verified by District Officer.
Person With Disability (Apangata)
- Disability Identity Card from Social Welfare Council or local government-issued disability classification certificate.
Backward Region (Pichadiyeko Kshetra)
- Permanent Residence Citizenship From – Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugu or Humla districts – plus local government proof of permanent residence at time of application.
Additional Important Rules
- This advertisement is valid in all provinces – it covers all 7 provinces simultaneously.
- The written exam is held on the same date and time across all provinces – you can only sit in ONE province for ONE subject.
- If you cannot submit through the online system, you (the candidate) are personally responsible – no appeal accepted.
- Open competition and inclusive group candidates are notified separately.
- For Inclusive Group Candidates: you can only apply as one community (not multiple), EXCEPT for women – the women’s provision is additional and separate.
- Exam Medium: Language subjects are in their respective language, all other subjects may use Nepali or English.
- Double-fee extension does NOT affect age, educational qualification or training calculation.
- Those who received training exclusively from a foreign institution without equivalent qualification assessment are NOT eligible.
